Meet Dr. Quinn K. chan

Dr. Chan is a prosthodontist, a dental specialist that is involved with the rehabilitation and maintenance of oral function, appearance, and health of patients with missing or deficient teeth. He is trained in a wide range of restorative dentistry: crowns, veneers, bridges, partial dentures, complete dentures, and dental implants. His prosthodontic specialty training gives him advanced knowledge in the application of these techniques to restore oral function, chewing, speech, and esthetics to a healthy condition, especially in complex situations including full mouth rehabilitation, with and without implants.

Since completing his specialty training, Dr. Chan has been teaching at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor and was bestowed with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching in 2014. He also was nominated for the same award in 2015. This annual award recognizes faculty who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment and excellence in the teaching of dental students. He also has been actively practicing dentistry and prosthodontics in the New England area.

Originally hailing from Northern Virginia, a suburb of Washington D.C., Dr. Chan graduated from the University of Virginia and earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as an Electronics Engineer at the National Institutes of Health while simultaneously completing his M.S. in Biotechnology with an emphasis in Bioinformatics from the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Chan then moved to New England and received his D.M.D from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and subsequently completed an advanced general dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After working as a general dentist for one year, he entered into and completed his specialty training in the Graduate Prosthodontics program at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Chan is an active member of the American College of Prothodontists, American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

He resides in the Boston area and is excited to continue growing his connection to the New England region. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and traveling to explore new places, cultures and cuisines.
