Meet Dr. Patrick D. McCarty

Dr. McCarty is Board Certified through the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology & the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

Following graduation from residency, Dr. McCarty practiced anesthesia in the greater San Francisco area. In 2007, Dr. McCarty moved back home to New England, where he now provides mobile office based anesthesia services to many dental offices throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Dr. McCarty's patient’s includes both children and adults, with a special focus on those who are medically compromised or dental phobic. He acts as a Staff Anesthesiologist at the Franciscan Children's Hospital in Brighton as well.

In addition to his anesthesiology practice, Dr. McCarty also teaches. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Department of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and the Department of Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

In 2009, Dr. McCarty was one of ten recipients of the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society’s annual award. This award honors dentists who have been in the profession for less than a decade but who have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community, or organized dentistry.
